Your Instructors

Dr. Kevin Skinner
Dr. Kevin Skinner is a licensed marriage and family therapist. He has been a therapist for over 28 years. He is the author of Treating Trauma from Sexual Betrayal, Treating Sexual Addiction: A Compassionate Approach to Recovery; and Rebuilding Your Relationship after Sexual Betrayal. His Tedx Talk “The Other Side of Infidelity” has been viewed by over 1 million people.
Dr. Skinner is also a faculty member for the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). He enjoys running, playing tennis and being with his wife, eight children, and one grand-daughter.

Amy Andrus, LMFT
Amy Andrus brings expertise in family therapy. With a background in teaching at the BYU Family Science Department and contributions to the field, Amy is committed to guiding individuals through critical life stages. Her experience extends to counseling students at the BYU Women's Services and Resources Center, where she gained insight into the complex world of sexual addiction and trauma. Amy's skills also benefited adolescents in a residential treatment facility, addressing a range of addictions.
In her professional journey, Amy focuses on fostering healthier relationships for couples. A dedicated mother of six, her profound life lesson comes from raising her youngest daughter, who has Downs Syndrome. Amy's compassionate approach to therapy is shaped by her journey of motherhood.
